A message from Beverly Sandler
To My Dear Friends/Customers,
With a full heart, I want to express how truly grateful I am that you have trusted me to provide you with the very best shoes and fitting expertise for over 40 years. Following in my father's footsteps, I preserved and grew my family business based on serious considerations as to what styles and brands will fit the best. I, as well as many of my customers have foot issues and we know we our best friend is a good fitting comfortable pair of shoes. The bond I have with my customers, my store and the greater community will continue. Since becoming a grandmother and needing more time away, I am excited that Derek Schwartz will be the new owner of Sandler's Shoes. Derek, a Board Certified Pedorthist, brings with him a plethora of medical and practical knowledge which will benefit you, my customers tremendously. Bio: Derek Schwartz, New Owner of Sandler's Shoes
Born and raised in Tulsa, OK in a family of 5 as the youngest sibling, I grew up active in sports of all kinds attending Victory Christian School later moving to a small town called Wakarusa, Indiana at the age of 16 about 30 minutes from South Bend. I traveled extensively in my early twenties involved in non-profits through various ministries. I spent a half a year in South East Asia teaching English to Cambodian students learning the culture and traveling throughout the Asian provinces. I also had the privilege to travel to over 15 countries doing similar non profit work in my early twenties as well as living in various states as well as attending college for Business Administration including Ohio, Arizona and Michigan. I was hired as co-director for a non profit in Israel that owns a hospital in Nazareth where I lived for 3 years. This opportunity gave me experience non-profit and business management, marketing, and development. Moving to Michigan I started working in the shoe industry at a Pedorthic Shoe store where I had extensive training in Medical Footwear. I attended RMPI to attain my Pedorthic Certification though Oklahoma State University which set a course for owning and operating my first Pedorthic retail facility, Nobile Shoes located in Palm Beach Gardens. Purchased in 2016 I opened another location in Delray Beach in February of 2018. We have seen continued growth in Florida with the 2 locations which is where I reside currently. It is with great excitement to have the opportunity to purchase Sandler's Shoes and bring with me the services and products we provide in Florida! My Pedorthic training and experience pairs perfectly in assisting Orthopedic Surgeons, Podiatrists, Physical Therapists and more! We will provide foot and gait evaluations with the ability to make custom orthotics, custom shoes, shoe modifications, diabetic services and shoe repair services with a new orthopedic and shoe repair lab in house at Sandler's Shoes! We will assist customers like yourself who come in with foot ailments, neuropathy, limb length discrepancy, assistance in ambulating and much more! These services which are lacking in the 30-50 mile radius will be readily available in the approaching summer months at Sandler's Shoes so please come in and take advantage of these services and say hi! Phill Sullivan will be the manager here full time originally from Michigan who was trained in Florida and currently attending RMPI for his Pedorthic License. We are also very excited to hire Ben Knepper who will be here full time as a Pedorthist, custom shoe, afo and orthotic manufacturer!
